Chain link — sometimes called wire fencing or wire yard fencing — is the workhorse: affordable, durable, and quick to install. Jason's Fence Company installs chain link and wire yard fencing for residential yards, dog runs, ball fields, commercial perimeter security, and industrial sites across CENLA. Galvanized for the classic silver look, vinyl-coated (typically black or dark green) for properties where the fence should disappear into the landscape.
Heights from 4 feet (residential pet enclosures) to 12 feet (commercial security) with gauges from 11.5 (residential) to 9 (heavy commercial). For security applications we add a top rail, barbed wire, or razor ribbon. For residential installs around CENLA we usually frame with 1 5/8" top rail and 2" line posts in 2 1/2" terminal posts — strong enough that the fence stays straight when the dogs lean on it.
Privacy slats are an option for chain link if you want the affordability of mesh with some visual screening. They come in tan, brown, green, gray, and white, and slot in vertically through the mesh in about an hour for an average-sized backyard.
